RAF Cottesmore
The home of Joint Force Harrier; 1(F) & IV(AC) Sqns RAF and 800 & 801 NAS (the Naval Strike Wing).
RAF Coningsby
The home of the first four Royal Air Force Typhoon Sqns; 3(F), XI(F), 17(R) (the Typhoon Operational Evaluation Unit)
and 29(R) (the Typhoon Operational Conversion Unit). Additionally the mixed fleet of 41(R) Sqn (the Fast Jet & Weapons Operational Evaluation Unit) and the iconic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight are based here.
RAF Wittering
20(R) Sqn; the Harrier Operational Conversion Unit operates from Wittering, long regarded as the 'home of the Harrier'.
RAF Kinloss
Home of the busy Nimrod's of 42(R), 120 and 201 Sqns, three of the oldest Sqns in the RAF.
RAF Lossiemouth
The largest and busiest fast jet base in the RAF.
Three operational Tornado GR.4 Sqns operate from Lossiemouth; 12(B), 14 and 617 Sqns plus XV(R) Sqn, the Tornado GR.4 Operational Conversion Unit, and a Sea King Search & Rescue Flight.
RAF Holbeach
Air Weapons Range - located on the southern shore of the Wash in Lincolnshire, the Sqns of Joint Force Harrier are regular visitors.
